50% of infertility is male factor.

Up to 50% of the infertility cases presenting to our clinics across Queensland are a result of male factors such as low sperm count, Y chromosome deletion, sperm chromatin damage, chemotherapy damage or undescended testes. Men are often considered secondary when investigating infertility, whereas in reality most couples have combined factors.

At QFG both male and female investigations are carried out concurrently to assess and design an effective and personal treatment plan. All our male patients have extensive initial tests including hormone profiles, infectious diseases and chromosome testing (which are bulk billed to minimise costs) as well as semen analysis and the SCSA when indicated.
