After an appointment with Dr Esler and when your fertility treatment has been discussed, an interview will be arranged with a Nurse Coordinator. This appointment is the beginning of your relationship with QFG Toowoomba and will provide information and education on all aspects of your treatment.
The Nurse Coordinator will discuss your medical history, your personal treatment plan, statistics, consent forms, test results and costings in detail.
This interview appointment is an accreditation requirement and must be completed before proceeding with treatment. The Toowoomba Nurses will then coordinate and plan your treatment cycle. The contact with the Nurse Coordinators is ongoing and they will liase with all Professionals involved in your care.
Nurse, Doctor, Counsellor and Scientific support is just a phone call away.

Julie Logan Registered Nurse and Midwife
Julie is a Registered Nurse and Midwife and has her Child Health Certificate. She has vast experience in these areas and as well as being a Nurse Coordinator with QFG works as the Practice Midwife in Dr Elser’s practice.
What do you like most about your job? Helping couples achieve their dream of having a baby & the wonderful people I work with.
What do you like most about living in Toowoomba? 5 -10 minutes to everywhere.

Leita Fien Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife
Leita is a Registered Nurse & Midwife and has worked in IVF since 1998. She is the Senior Nurse Coordinator in Toowoomba.
What do you like most about your job? I love everything about my job – my colleagues & the people I meet everyday and all aspects of my work.
What do you like most about living in Toowoomba? It has lots of open spaces, good restaurants & lots of coffee shops & the shopping isn't too bad either.
Name 3 people you'd want to have dinner with? I am really into family history so I would love to have dinner with my dad's dad who I never got to meet and my grandparents on my mum's side – I love to hear the stories.
Susan Lax Registered Nurse and Midwife
Susan is a Registered Nurse and Midwife and has completed her Grad. Cert. in Midwifery. Before joining QFG Toowoomba as a Nurse Coordinator, Susan worked extensively in post natal midwifery.
What do you like most about your job? All of it!
What do you like most about living in Toowoomba? It has a big country town atmosphere.
