Trying to Conceive

Falling pregnant may be more difficult than you first anticipated. You’re not alone, as one in six Australian couples experience difficulty conceiving a baby. If you have been trying to get pregnant for more than six months, it’s a good idea to seek medical advice and to start reading more about what your options may be.

A lot of information about fertility treatments focuses on IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation), but you may be relieved to learn that there are also other simpler solutions available. Meanwhile, it’s important to understand the basics: how your reproductive system works, factors affecting your fertility, and ways to maximise your chance of conceiving.

Some helpful tips on how you can help increase your chances of becoming pregnant, including pre-pregnancy health, complementary therapies and understanding your ovulation cycle.

Find out more about how the female reproductive system works, and the causes of female infertility – including endometriosis, fibroids, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and age. Understand your pregnancy window and ovulation cycle.

Male fertility issues account for about 40% of the fertility problems we see at Queensland Fertility Group. Find out how the male reproductive system works, and how low sperm motility can affect fertility.

If you’re in a same sex couple relationship and considering starting your family, the experienced team at Queensland Fertility Group is delighted to help.

QFG provides a range of fertility treatments for single women that want to become a mum. With Qld's largest donor program, we can offer you more options than any other fertility clinic.
