Fertility Tests

Difficulties falling pregnant can affect about 20% of couples that are trying to conceive. For these couples, the first step is to see a Fertility Specialist who can organise some tests to try and identify the cause of the pregnancy delay. These tests can include:

Ovarian Reserve (AMH) Blood Test

An assessment of the level of AMH, a hormone secreted by developing egg sacs, which acts as a good indicator of ovarian reserve.

Pelvic Investigations

A diagnostic ultrasound of a women’s pelvic region to try and identify if there are any underlying causes of infertility such as PCOS, tubal disease or endometriosis.
