Born in 1965, raised and educated in Brisbane, Gary graduated in Medicine from the University of Queensland in 1988. He began specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1994, and obtained his FRANZCOG qualification in 1999. Most recently he has continued his tertiary studies graduating with a Masters in Reproductive Medicine from the University of New South Wales.
His training in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery has been extensive. In 1999, before commencing practice on the Gold Coast, Gary undertook highly specialised training in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery for Endometriosis and Fertility at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne under arguably the most important pioneers in the country.
Gary is an Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Bond University, lecturing and supervising the Women’s health Curriculum, and a visiting specialist in Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery at Gold Coast and Robina Hospitals. Gary was also involved in the establishment of a Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
His practice focuses on gynaecology and fertility treatment and he specialises in complex laparoscopic surgical techniques for diseases affecting fertility with a special interest in endometriosis. He can also provide obstetric care for patients successfully pregnant through the Gold Coast Unit who choose to deliver at Pindara Hospital.
From a solid academic base and a wealth of experience, Gary’s thorough approach and attention to detail gives couples the best chance of successful pregnancy.
