Dr Tal Jacobson is a very experienced gynaecologist who has a special interest in endometriosis, fertility, pelvic pain, fibroids and menstrual disorders. He also offers expertise in colposcopy and the management of cervical abnormalities.
Tal is a Staff Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mater Mother's Hospital, Brisbane and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. He is an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Membership exam.
Tal graduated from Cambridge University and Guy's Hospital, London. His specialist medical training was in the UK. He completed a Fertility Fellowship in Oxford, and a Fellowship in Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery in London.
Tal has a patient-centered philosophy, focusing on providing effective, efficient and evidence-based care. He is professional, confidential and gentle in his approach. Tal’s aim is to understand how symptoms are impacting a woman’s lifestyle and to provide a detailed management plan which gives both confidence and optimism to his patients.
Tal’s original research on endometriosis, pelvic pain, fertility, and the safety of laparoscopic surgery, are published and presented at international conferences. Tal has received prizes and awards for his laparoscopic surgery research and has undertaken international travelling fellowships.
